Passion. Experience. Diligence.
Aaron Y. Li has spent more than fifteen years working at the intersection of U.S. tax law and the lives of globally connected families and businesses. His practice today reflects a deliberate choice: after building his foundation at another international tax law firm, Aaron set out on his own to serve clients the way he believes this work should be done — with direct attorney attention, candid counsel, and the freedom to design solutions that fit the client.
That client-first orientation is what defines his practice. Aaron travels regularly throughout Asia to meet with families, founders, and advisors in the cities where their wealth and businesses actually live. He believes meaningful cross-border planning cannot be done at arm's length — it requires understanding a client's home jurisdiction, family dynamics, and long-term aspirations as well as the U.S. rules that will shape the outcome.
Aaron is a frequent speaker at professional conferences, bar association programs, and industry events on subjects ranging from pre-immigration planning and offshore trust structuring to FBAR, FATCA, and IRS voluntary disclosure. Colleagues, accountants, and foreign counsel routinely refer their most sensitive cross-border matters to him, knowing that the work will be handled with both technical depth and discretion.
For Aaron, tax law has never been about forms and filings. It is about helping people protect what they have built, plan for what they want to leave behind, and move through complicated systems with someone in their corner who knows the terrain.
